Keep your word
to yourself.
Morning Vow is an alarm that keeps coming back until you speak your affirmations out loud. Slide-to-stop buys minutes, not the morning. Speaking is the only way to make it stop coming back.

Say it out loud
I do the hard thing first.
How it works
Three steps. The third one is yours.
01It fires.
At the time you chose — through Silent mode and Focus. Built on AlarmKit, Apple’s alarm framework in iOS 26, so it rings like a real alarm, not a notification.
02You speak.
The screen shows your affirmation in large type. Each word lights up as you say it. Matching is forgiving — groggy, half-awake speech is expected; the matching is on the words, not the volume.
03It stops coming back.
Say the words and the morning is yours. Until you do, backup alarms return within minutes. Your streak counts the mornings you answered.
The wake voice
Last-night-you has a message for 6 AM you.
Before bed, record up to 15 seconds: why tomorrow matters, in your own voice. It plays as the alarm’s first sound.
Or hand the phone to someone you’d get up for. A partner or a parent records it on your phone — or sends you a voice memo, and you import it.
- Record up to 15 seconds in the app, or import a voice memo from Files.
- It plays first, then a tone that rises. The two repeat until you act.
- Slide it off and the backups come back with the standard loud tone — you still have to say your vow.
The voice is optional on every alarm and included in every plan, not an add-on. It is how the alarm starts. Speaking is the only way to make it stop coming back.
Morning Vow keeps the recording only on your phone — not in backups, not in analytics, never sent anywhere. No accounts, no sending feature, no AI voice cloning.
0:09 — recorded last night
Then a tone that rises. Both repeat until you act.
+2 and +4 min — backups ring with the standard loud tone, never the recording.
The honest mechanic
There is a stop button. We won’t pretend otherwise.
Every alarm app has a stop button, and so does this one. Sliding it stops the sound — and the alarm comes back within minutes. That’s the whole mechanic: you can always dismiss it, and it comes back. Persistence, not imprisonment.
To end the loop, you say your own words out loud. Recognition is deliberately forgiving of groggy, just-woke-up speech — the matching is on the words you say, not the volume.
And you’re never trapped. If speaking fails three times (twice on the gentle setting) — lost voice, bad morning, whatever — a tap-to-confirm fallback appears. An app you trust at 5:55am has to be honest about its own exits.
- Slide-to-stop — always there; buys minutes, not the morning
- Backup alarms — return at +2 and +4 minutes until you speak — one backup on gentle, two on standard and savage
- Wake voice — an optional recording on the first ring only — backups use the standard loud tone, and it never plays while the phone listens for your words
- Strictness tiers — gentle, standard (the default) or savage; savage has a typed-only fallback and re-arms the chain once if you abandon it
- Tap-to-confirm fallback — appears after three failed attempts (two on gentle) — never trapped
- Streak counter — keeps score of mornings answered

FAQ
Fair questions.
Does it really fire in Silent mode?
Yes. Morning Vow is built on AlarmKit, Apple’s alarm framework introduced in iOS 26. Alarms sound through Silent mode and Focus, the same way the built-in Clock app does.
Can’t I just slide to stop it?
You can — the slide-to-stop button is right there, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Sliding stops the sound, and the alarm comes back within minutes. Speaking is the only way to make it stop coming back.
What if I lose my voice, or can’t speak right now?
You’re never trapped. After three failed attempts (two on the gentle setting), a fallback appears: tap to confirm, or on the savage setting type the line in full. Settings also has a permanent option for anyone who can’t use voice reliably. Sick, hoarse, in a hotel room at 5am — the fallback is always reachable.
Where does my audio go?
Nowhere. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone. Your voice and your affirmations never leave your phone. The only traffic the app sends is anonymous usage and crash analytics, and the check that your subscription is active — never audio, never transcripts.
Why iOS 26.1 and later?
Two frameworks make Morning Vow possible, and both arrived with iOS 26: AlarmKit, for alarms that fire through Silent mode and Focus, and Apple’s on-device speech recognition. The floor is 26.1 because iOS 26.0 played an alarm’s custom sound only once; Apple fixed that in 26.1. Earlier versions of iOS can’t do this honestly.
Can I write my own affirmations?
Yes. That’s the point — your words, in your voice. Each alarm carries one to three affirmations: lines you write yourself, or lines from the starter pack.
Can someone else record my alarm?
Yes. Hand them your phone and they record up to 15 seconds in the app, or they send you a voice memo and you import it from Files. There is no sending feature, no account and no AI voice cloning — a real person says it. Morning Vow keeps the recording only on your phone: not in backups, not in analytics, never sent anywhere. Like any alarm, it plays out loud, through Silent mode.
Will a soft voice really wake me?
It doesn’t have to do it alone. The voice plays first, then a tone that rises, and the two repeat until you act. Slide it off and every backup alarm rings with the standard loud tone — never the recording. The wake voice is optional on every alarm; leave it off and the alarm starts with the standard tone.
Is there an Android version?
No. Morning Vow is built on Apple-only frameworks and is iPhone-only.
